This site is one of the many from Weboptimiser. This particular site is dedicated to our Twitter fans. We operate a network of about 10 sites dedicated to Social Media at the moment.

Weboptimiser was originally set up way back in 1996 and we have been going like a train ever since.

The name Weboptimiser was devised on the plane on a return journey from LA, following one of the early Jay Abraham conferences. The conference was all about business optimisation and we wanted the business to be focussed on the Web. So that is how the name Weboptimiser came about.

Originally set up to make the web a better place, the company quickly found itself ‘doing’ SEO. The very first SEO project was for Bayer Pharmaceutical back in ‘96 and our objective was to get on the front pages of Altavista – this was BG (Before Google), when the hottest application was Hotmail. Lots of people were keen to tell us that ‘Search’ would never take off!

We moved from Newbury to central London in no time, here is Elena – our longest serving, most fun and faithful!

It seems we created the industry! – check this out – we registered both Weboptimiser.com and Weboptimizer.com during the days of first mover opportunity! Plenty of ‘optimisers’ have been and gone since…

In about 2003 John and Conrad invested and as a result of those times we determined best practice with the IAB UK and then went on to define advanced Search Engine Marketing with them too.  We try and test all our techniques on Weboptimiser itself – that policy has served us well and given us personal experience in all the areas we deliver on, ever since.

Our clients stay with us as result of good service and we win new clients largely through reputation. We think that a continuation of the pioneering spirit and close customer management ensures we remember to have fun whilst we work!

We are of course, not perfect – we would like to be, but we are human like everyone else as you can see from our christmas party pictures, last year in Leicester Square. We also do lots of things like support Crisis and other charities and we do what we do and have a lot of fun doing it.

Indeed we are not perfect and we need lots of help – you can believe it! In fact the only way that we can deal with all the work is to work with a team of outsourcerers and the people that manage them are in Bucharest so even the outsourcing is outsourced!

You have probably gathered by now, that we are an out going bunch of people and here is a picture of the Weboptimiser VIP area at the Internet World show – now we are not at every show every year and if we are not exhibiting, or sponsoring, we will be lurking, perhaps in disguise – we will be the ones wearing hoodies!

It was also in 2003 that we invested in creating our very own in house studio – where we produce loads of films for t’internet clients and just last year we filmed the Crisis sponsored city run, great fun, here is a glimpse into our studio in central London, give us a call – we are ever ready!

We continue to do great things. Epiphany should be our middle name!
