Martin Skinner has used Social Media as a key element in setting up Inspired Asset Management. His fund management firm has raised – in current market conditions – considerable sums in order to buy property to be let to Students and help solve the housing crisis in London.
Based in Londons Grosvenor Square Martin tells us his experience in working with us this year – and he is very kind.
Apparently there are now 40m users of Twitter. “2010 I think will be the year we start focusing a little more on revenue,” Biz Stone, one of the founders of Twitter said at a press conference in Tel Aviv, Isreal last week. “We still have a lot of product work to do.”
It seems that not only is Twitter to shortly become optimised, but that it plans to continue to segment into different markets. Twitter is already available in Japanese. According to Biz Stone, in the works, and presumably, coming soon, is Twitter in French, German, Italian and Spanish.
So it would seem that Twitter is potentially going to become more expensive and restricted with geographic limitations. With around 500 tweets per minute, it is obvious that Twitter should segment its markets. This would mean, dear business owner, that Twitter will become more difficult to manage as time conitinues. The opportunities that are there for you now are likely to slip away.
