Twitter Follower Growth Accelerates

Robin Wauters over at Techcrunch tells us that it has been about a month since Twitter turned on its people recommendation engine. Twitter has created a system that automatically suggest people you don’t currently follow but may find interesting. And it works like magic.

Based on a variety of factors, including the people you follow and the people they follow. Twitter has made this service available at Twitter.com through the Find People section.

According Robin, the new recommendation systems seem to be doing its job just fine. His follower count has risen and likes the people he is being recommended too.

Auto following has been a bone of contention for some. Indeed, it could well work better than some of the paid for services out there.

So for fun, Robin has produced a set of graphs that you can find over at Techcrunch.com, search for twitter recommendation.
